Arriving in Shepherdstown

To avoid extended travel during rush hour traffic, if possible, please avoid booking travel that arrives between 3pm and 6pm or departs between 7am and 11am.

Only one hour away from Shepherdstown, Dulles International (IAD) is the preferred airport option.

Baltimore/washington international

90 minutes away from Shepherdstown, Baltimore/Washington (BWI), is the 2nd preferred airport option.

ronald reagan washington national

Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) is also nearby, though not preferred as it is often congested with heavy DC traffic causing extended travel times (2+ hours).

BWI Amtrak

BWI Airport Station (Amtrak) is the preferred and most utilized train station to Shepherdstown (90 minutes).

NOTE: Baltimore has 2 metro stations. BWI is the SECOND stop, just past the Baltimore Penn Station stop.

harpers ferry amtrak

Harpers Ferry (Amtrak) has limited options and is only 20 minutes to Shepherdstown. Most options arriving in this station will require changing trains at a larger hub station.

martinsburg amtrak

Martinsburg (Amtrak) has limited options, but is only 15 minutes to Shepherdstown. Most options arriving in this station will require changing trains at a larger hub station.

herndon metro (silver line)

Herndon (silver line) station is about one hour from Shepherdstown, and is the preferred Metro stop.

NOTE: Herndon has multiple exits from the station. Please use the exit for pick up in the Kiss and Ride area, located near the parking garage on the South Side of the station.

Shady grove metro (red line)

Shady Grove (red line) station is about one hour from Shepherdstown.

NOTE: Shady Grove has an East bound and West bound exit from the station. Please use the WEST bound exit for pick up in the Kiss and Ride area.
