West Woods Suites

CATF will provide housing free of charge for all Guest Artists. Most of our Company Members will live on-campus in Shepherd University Residence Halls. 

The West Woods housing complex is made up of six identical buildings. These three story buildings are made of up suite style units. Each suite has two bedrooms, a shared space (living room), and one bathroom with a standing shower. Each room in the suites will have two twin-xl beds, one bureau, two closet spaces, two desks, two chairs, and an air conditioning unit and a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier MUST be turned on and pulling moisture from the space to avoid mold growth. 

In addition, each living room has one upholstered chair, one upholstered sofa, and an air conditioning unit. 

Please do not take the furniture outside the suites. If you move furniture within the suite it must be restored prior to your departure.

A communal kitchen and laundry facilities are located on the first floor of Boteler Hall.

CATF provides gas BBQ grill(s) stationed outside of West Woods residence halls for Company use. Company Management will provide propane for the grills throughout the summer. If a grill runs out of propane, please let Company Management know, and we will replace it. 

Please do not remove the grills from their original locations. Due to fire safety codes, all grills must remain 25 feet from the residence halls.

The Company Manager creates all housing assignments and will do their best to ensure Guest Artists have input on their housing mates, which floor they live on, and any further housing accommodations needed.

The residence halls are downhill from the Frank Center and are a five-minute walk to the Center for Contemporary Arts. 

Company Members are responsible for the cleanliness of their housing unit. Therefore, please return all non-perishable items in an acceptable condition before you depart at the end of the Festival. And feel free to contact Company Management to replace necessary items before the end of the Festival.

CATF will provide the following for every Company Member:

• 1 Pillow, set of sheets, and a blanket

• 10 Coat hangers

• Alarm clock 

• Reading lamp

• 4 plates, cups, and silverware (fork, knife, spoon)

• 2 mugs

• 1 Standard bath towel and washcloth

• Plastic Tote with lid (used to store all CATF provided items) 

CATF will also provide the following in every Suite:

• Reusable bottle of disinfectant

• One sponge, dish soap, dish drying rack/mat

• Kitchen towel

• Can opener, plastic stirring spoon, cutting board, and paring knife

• Microwave & Mini-fridge combination unit(s)

• Bathmat

• One roll of toilet paper at the start of the contract. Note: It's the occupant's responsibility to purchase paper products for the remainder of the summer season.

• Small Plastic Tote with lid (used to store all CATF provided items) 

• Small Bathroom Trash can

CATF will provide the following items in a communal storage cabinet located on the first floor of the Lurry complex:

• Vacuum

• Broom & Dust Pan

• Swiffer broom & single use disinfectant pads

• Refill bottles of disinfectant 

• Plunger

• Toilet Brush

If you spill something on the carpet of your suite or apartment, please notify Company Management immediately. Unit occupants are responsible for charges involving any staining of the carpet and furniture that results in the need for deep cleaning at the end of the season.
